Instruments by ME Strings
We make a limited quantity of instruments from scratch. Below are some examples.

We also source ‘white’ instruments. Before varnishing the instrument is carefully dismantled, the top thickness and the bass bar to improve tone and playability. The shape and thickness of the neck is refined. Once reassembled instrument is then varnished, polished, and set-up using a range of accessories which can be selected by the customer.

The result is a very attractive instrument, personalised and that is easy to play and with an excellent tone.

This example has been finished with oil varnish to given an 'antique' effect. It has been fitted with premium accessories and strung with Evah Pirazzi strings.

A 15.5" VIOLA - from 'the white'.
​
Finished in oil varnish with an 'antiqued' effect. Fitted with 'rosewood' accessories (N.B. rosewood is protected and hence these accessories are likely to be Tamarindus indica/swartzia or siris) and strung with Evah Pirazzi strings. This is a viola with an outstanding look and tone.
